We had a very special visitor to Foundation Stage this week - Gary the Fire Fighter!
The visit took place as part of the Nursery topic of 'People Who Help Us'. Gary told us all about being a Fire Fighter, and what the job entailed.
The children were already very knowledgeable on the subject. A big thank you to Fireman Sam!
Mrs Barber dressed up in a Fire Fighters' special protective clothing. More photographs of our fire adventures will follow...
As a note of interest, Gary informed us that all families linked with our school are entitled to a free safety check on their homes courtesy of South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service. This also includes the installation of free smoke alarms where appropriate.

We have had some new starters in nursery this week.
Here are some photographs of those special first days...
What a lot of fun we had!
Welcome back to all our children, staff and parents after the easter break. We hope that you all had lots of fun.
This half term in Nursery will be a busy and fun one. Firstly, we welcome some new starters - including Miss Ross-Fraser - and we welcome the help and support of the existing children during this transition time.
Our learning will revolve around 'People who help us'. We will be having visitors representing the PDSA, Police force, Fire fighters and also health professionals to enhance your child's learning.
As always, we will post regular information on progress and also photographs to keep you informed and give you a snapshot of your child's day.
