We want your junk!!!

Next half term in Nursery we are learning about 'People who help us'. As part of this topic we plan to allow the children to use their creative talents to make some models from junk.

Because of this we desperately need you to collect up any old cartons, bottles, lids, boxes etc (clean, of course) and bring them into school. Please do not send toilet roll tubes or old meat cartons, however, as we are unable to use these.

We cannot guarantee that you will not get them back at a later date, albeit in a different form.

Thank you in advance.

Face painting fun!

We lost some of our children on friday - but found some of the following instead!

Flower shop

We had great fun last week learning about all sorts of flowers and playing in our role play flower shop.

A big THANK YOU to the staff at Townend Florists for donating flowers. They really enhanced the learning and it was lovely to see, smell and handle real flowers.

Book Fayre

Apologies for an earlier post about the book fayre. This will now be taking place on the Frith Road site this Monday and Tuesday after school.

Easter Hat Day

On Wednesday 27th March 2013 we will be holding our annual Easter Hat Day! The Foundation Stage children will all take part, alongside our Year 1s and 2s.

The children are asked to make an easter hat at home that they can bring in and wear at school. The hats may be as simple or ingenious as you like, but we do urge that the children be involved in the making.

The children will take part in a simple easter celebration where we sing songs and have a parade of the hats. Every child will receive a small token, and there will be a prize for the best hats in each class.

We hope that all the children will participate. Happy making!
