We are running low on stocks of boys clothes in Nursery. If you have any unwanted clothes that may be suitable as spares we would greatly appreciate them.
Thank you

Outdoor changes
Please be reminded that Foundation Stage classes (and year 1) are closed to pupils on 15th November 2012. This is due to polling day taking place within the nursery.
The staff, however, will be in as usual and we are planning to use this time to make changes to our outdoor provision. We have many exciting things planned to enhance your child's learning outside. I plan to post pictures very soon to show the changes...
Fingers crossed for good weather!

Show us your spots!
On Friday 16th November we will be supporting 'Children in need' by having a
spotty day!
We are asking that all the children dress in spotty clothes if possible. There will be lots of 'spotty' activities going on and we hope to have lots of fun for charity.
We look forward to seeing you all on the day!

The last day of term was...
Our Autumn party was a great success.
We especially loved the home made outfits...
Even the staff made an effort!
We had lots of creepy activities going on within nursery too!
The apple bobbing was great fun!
Some children were even successful!
A fantastic time was had by all.
- creepy
- scary
- frightening
- ghastly
- ghoulish

Autumn 1 learning
Sorry I have not posted anything new for a while - my internet was down :-(
It's fixed now, though, so here is a new post showing a sample of the fantastic learning that took place in the Autumn 1 term...
Improving our fine motor skills by picking up tiny things with tweezers...
Matching and naming shapes with simple puzzles...
Using our imagination with the small world equipment...
Being creative on the easels...
Drawing in the large black trays in a variety of messy media!
(This is especially satisfying for the children, as any mistakes can be erased easily)
Getting tactile in the 'cut and stick' area...
Sharing and cooperating with the small world...
Role playing situations with others...
Practising our pencil and scissor control...(and also taking pride in our achievements)
Ball skills...
Music making in the outdoor area...
Working on those physical skills...
Well done to all the children for their super efforts this half term!
