Outdoor physical activities

We are very lucky at Gleadless Primary School to have such a large space for our Early Years outdoor provision. Although there are many more things that we hope to achieve outside in the future, here are just a few of the activities that we participate in that help to develop your child's physical abilities now...

Learning how to cycle on one of our large wheeled toys...

Balancing skills...

Building and constructing with our large construction and den building equipment...

Kicking and throwing both small and large apparatus...

We are loving our new tyres! Much fun has been had cleaning them up in preparation for the coming weeks. We are hoping to turn some of them into fairy gardens! The tyres will also be used to improve physical skills. We intend to use them for agility courses.

A great big THANK YOU to all the parents and relatives that have kindly donated items towards our outdoor provision. We rely on the generosity of you all to enhance the learning that goes on. Please keep an eye out for any items that may be of use next time you have a clear out!
